Swan Lake Iris Gardens is 150 acres of gardens, lakes, and walking paths in the middle of Sumter, and it is home to all eight species of swan. The iris gardens bloom spectacularly in May, with Japanese irises lining the lake shores in purple, white, and yellow. This is a Level 1 walking experience. Paved paths, flat terrain, benches everywhere. Strollers, wheelchairs, and slow walkers are all welcome. Free to visit.
