The most dramatic overlook in South Carolina. Caesars Head sits at 3,208 feet and offers views across the Blue Ridge Escarpment that will stop you in your tracks.

Caesars Head State Park sits at the top of the Blue Ridge Escarpment in northern Greenville County, where the mountains drop 2,000 feet to the Piedmont below. The main overlook is a short walk from the parking area and delivers one of the most dramatic views in the state.

The park also serves as the trailhead for the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, which leads to the tallest waterfall in South Carolina. The 4-mile round trip to the falls overlook is a moderate hike through beautiful mountain forest.

  • The main overlook is accessible from the parking area in about 5 minutes. Great for all ability levels.
  • Raven Cliff Falls is 400 feet tall and the tallest waterfall in South Carolina.
  • Fall hawk migration (September-October) brings thousands of broad-winged hawks over the overlook.
